Back pain and sciatica - In Depth Report

I'm currently having some back pain from an accident/injury and thought I share some good info since I had alot of questions in regards to my back injuries that I needed some answers so I was researching for myself and stumbled on this article which has alot of information that I found useful to me since my main goal is for a safe approach for recovery so I can get back to enjoying my daily activities & exercise .

  1. Hoping to feel better soon the X-mas Holiday cheer is on hold At the Clark's house I can't even think about putting a tree up and lights outside when your injured. I guess I have to take it day by day.

  2. Some of my symptoms :
    Muscle and Ligament Injuries/Lumbar Strain

Strain and injury to the muscles and ligaments supporting the back are the major causes of low back pain. The pain is typically more spread out in the muscles next to the spine, and may be associated with spasms in those muscles. The pain may move to the buttocks but rarely any farther down the leg.

    Herniated Disk

A herniated disk, sometimes (incorrectly) called a slipped disk, is a common cause of severe back pain and sciatica. A disk in the lumbar area becomes herniated when it ruptures or thins out, and degenerates to the point that the gel within the disk (the nucleus pulposus) pushes outward. The damaged disk can take on many forms:

A bulge -- The gel has been pushed out slightly from the disk and is evenly distributed around the circumference.
Protrusion -- The gel has pushed out slightly and asymmetrically in different places.
Extrusion -- The gel balloons extensively into the area outside the vertebrae or breaks off from the disk.

I'm currently under Chiropractic care which I believe they are really focusing on getting me better and pain free I'm also looking into adding Physical Therapy to help induce the healing progress.

Learning that Patience and positive attitude is a major part on the process to heal.

  3. Still hurting from accident I'm going to try and enjoy Christmas with my Husband Looking forward to the day ...
